Brick Street Bagels began in Jordan’s South End apartment in late 2022 when he had ambitions of delivering bagels to his neighbors and meeting more people in the community. Baking bagels in the early morning and late evening and delivering on bike before and after his day job.

After 9 months of at-home baking it was time to expand both the production and the team. Andrew came on board and Brick Street moved its baking operation into the nearby kitchen of Bar Mezzana where Jordan and Andrew would furiously bake away from 2:30am until 8am when Bar M’s kitchen staff would arrive. Bagels would get piled into Jordan’s car and schlepped to a nearby park where a folding table was set up and the awaiting long line would begin to be served. .

The park popups continued for many months and when the cold months came a partnership with The Buttery in the South End formed in order to offer bagels 5 days a week in the South End neighborhood where it all began.

Over these past two years we’ve made a lot of bagels and sold at so many places (and doorsteps) around the city. What has mattered most to us is the excitement that this community has expressed every single day about what we are doing and how we are doing it. The joy and community that we have the fortune of interacting with each morning has been an incredible privilege.

We are now expanding our operation and bringing Brick Street to South Boston. Having a permanent space of our own will allow us to expand our menu, offer coffee and continue exploring all the cool others things that come from having four walls and a bunch of creative people together. Rest assured, our South End operation isn’t going anywhere!

We look forward to seeing you in the South End or (soon to be) Southie shop..the bagel adventure continues!
